ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - The mother of a missing Elkhart woman said she believes her daughter is in a life-threatening situation after disappearing two months ago.
32-year-old Brandy Martinez was last seen on Harrison Street on Sept. 24. Her mother, Lisa Scott, said Martinez has never run away before.
“I think it’s more life-threatening,” Scott said when asked whether she believes her daughter ran away or is facing danger.
Scott said she is struggling to cope with her daughter’s disappearance while caring for her grandson.
“It’s very hard. Because I know that I’ve got to take care of my grandson, and I don’t want him to get upset. And I’ve got to keep it together,” Scott said.
According to police, Martinez is 5-foot-2 and weighs 130 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
