COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Two men are facing charges in an alleged murder-for-hire plot targeting a resident in Tennessee.
The Cookeville Police Department reports that officers discovered the plot targeting a local resident.
After investigating, indictments were returned charging Johnny Murray, 45, and Mitchell Skinner, 67, for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
Skinner was arrested on November 12 in North Carolina, where he remains in custody and will be brought to Putnam County. Murray was arrested in Tennessee on November 22.
“As this investigation is ongoing, the Cookeville Police Department will not be releasing the identity of the victim or additional investigative details at this time. There is no estimated timeline for when the case will be concluded,” CPD said.
