Portland began Monday to charge a fee to people seeking to reclaim any lived-in RV towed for being illegally parked within the city limits.
Towing fees of $250 to $350, depending on size, were already standard for illegally parked RVs. But city policy has long allowed fee waivers for RVs that have acted as someone’s primary residence.
That practice is now over, according to city spokesperson Laura Rude.

As of Monday, any vehicle getting tagged with a tow notice will also get a notice about the new fee. People whose vehicles are tagged have the option of moving their vehicle to avoid getting towed and owing
