LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville will be without its star wide receiver again Saturday in its regular season finale against rival Kentucky due to injury.
Head coach Jeff Brohm announced Monday senior wide receiver Chris Bell would miss the Governor’s Cup. During Louisville’s 38-6 loss to SMU , Bell suffered an apparent injury to his leg in the third quarter.
This season, Bell has 72 receptions, 917 yards and six touchdowns.
Injuries have plagued the Cardinals (7-4, 4-4) all season. Top rushers Isaac Brown and Keyjuan Brown missed games following leg injuries while quarterback Miller Moss didn't play against SMU because of a foot injury .
Brohm did not definitively say whether the other injured players would be available Saturday.
The team is focused following those three straight loss
