NEWARK, N.J. — With record-breaking Thanksgiving travel kicking in this week, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is encouraging civility. He suggested that air travelers help their fellow passengers place bags in the overhead bins and say "please" and "thank you" to flight attendants.

“Let’s all slow down. Let’s all buckle up. Let’s all drive safe on the roads,” Duffy said during a news conference Monday at Newark Liberty International Airport.

“Let’s all come early to the airports,” he said. “Let’s all put our best attitudes on, and let’s have a great Thanksgiving week as we travel to see the ones we love most.”
