NEWTOWN, Conn. (WFSB) - Emergency crews responded to a crash in Newtown on Monday morning.

Firefighters were called to the Big Y Shopping Center located on Queen Street after a report of a car that crashed into a building, fire officials said.

In the town’s volunteer fire department social media post, it looks like the Newtown Nail Salon was damaged.

When crews arrived, they were able to assess structural damage and secure the scene.

People involved in this incident were evaluated by EMS.

Officials also said other businesses might be impacted by this incident.

No further details were released.
