LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The next steps in the John Skelton murder case will have to wait a little longer.

Skelton, the man now charged with murdering his kids who were last seen 15 years ago, appeared in court for a probable cause conference Monday.

The public defender’s office requested the hearing be adjourned until next month because they’re still reviewing a large amount of evidence connected to the case. The judge granted the request, setting a date of Dec. 17 for the probable cause conference.

This comes as Skelton — who was set to be released this Saturday, Nov. 29 — is facing new charges in connection with the disappearance of his three sons.
