BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. (WNDU) - When you think of court, it’s usually not for something good.
But court isn’t all charges and sentencing.
The courtroom is sometimes a place where families are formed.
Case in point: 16 News Now has a story from the Berrien County courthouse.
There were happy tears in the courtroom on the Berrien County courthouse’s 10th annual ‘Adoption Day.’ That’s when they open up the court to the public where several families can share why adoption and foster care is so important to them and the public can see their adoptions finalized.
This year’s Adoption Day theme is falling into place. Hundreds of kids are currently awaiting adoption in Michiana, wanting to find a place they can call home and a family they can call theirs.
