MARYVILLE, Tenn. — A 49-year-old man is facing an attempted first-degree murder charge after allegedly assaulting a man who suffered a brain bleed, the Maryville Police Department said.
John F. Pollock was arrested on Nov. 21 in connection with an assault that left a 56-year-old man hospitalized in the intensive care unit at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, according to a Maryville Police Department incident report.
MPD, the Maryville Fire Department and AMR responded to 1601 East Lamar Alexander Parkway around 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 after receiving reports of an injured man. Officials found the victim with visible head injuries, the incident report said.
