Services in Calgary deal with fallout from first snowfall of the year

A hefty white sheet of snow has covered Calgary from Sunday night into Monday morning, and several groups in the city are dealing with the fallout from the first snowfall of the year.

Scientist with Environment and Climate Change Canada Christy Climenhaga said in the prairie provinces, a system can be seen which brought a lot of snowfall from Sunday night .

“We are kind of at the tail end of that snowfall, but quite a bit of snow did pile up,” Climenhaga said. “We saw reports of around 10 centimetres in the Canmore area, reports around Calgary between 10 to 15 centimetres. We’ve seen snow already this season
