AMES, Iowa —

In Ames, the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) has relocated the city's driver's license service center to a more central location within the Iowa DOT headquarters complex.

Starting Monday, all driver license and ID services will shift to this location at 203 S. Grand Ave. Dedicated parking for driver's license customers is available on the east side of the building. The main DOT entrance is now located at 800 Lincoln Way on the north side.

“We’re excited to move into a space that better serves our customers and makes us easier to find,” said Kathleen Meradith-Eyers, director of the Motor Vehicle Division. “This move reflects our commitment to operational efficiency, reducing our footprint while delivering a great customer experience for the Ames community.”
