SALT LAKE CITY — Five students at Wasatch High School in Heber were confirmed to be infected with measles over the weekend, and two more students were suspected to have the virus.
The Wasatch County Health Department reported on Saturday that at least one of the students attended school while infectious, and other students may have been exposed at the school on Nov. 14, 15, 17 and 18.
The department said two of the students were vaccinated for measles.
Wasatch County Health Department Director Jonelle Fitzgerald said the five confirmed cases were not related to each other, so officials expect to see more measles cases pop up in the community.
