Man accused of leaving scene of fatal crash held on bond

OMAHA, Neb. —

The man involved in a deadly hit-and-run appeared in court Monday.

The crash happened near 26th Avenue and Douglas Street when a 29-year-old pedestrian was hit by a truck and later died.

Officers arrested Charles White after receiving multiple witness reports that matched his vehicle description.

White is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury crash resulting in serious injury or death. His bond was set at 10 percent of $250,000.
