Six people were taken into custody in connection with the stabbing death of a homeless man in the Loop, Chicago police said Monday.
Authorities previously said the unidentified man was discovered unresponsive at approximately 7:21 a.m. on Sunday morning along South Wabash Avenue near East Adams Street. The victim suffered a puncture wound and was transported by paramedics to a local hospital, where was pronounced dead.
His identity hasn't been released by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
As of Monday evening, police hadn't shared details about the stabbing. Six people were in custody, and charges were pending, authorities said.
