An Evansville police officer shot and killed 58-year-old Everett Nunn Saturday night after responding to a reported domestic dispute at an East Louisiana Street home.
An Evansville Police Department spokesman initially said Nunn had "what appeared to be a gun." During a news conference Monday, officials said the supposed gun was actually a replica.
EVANSVILLE — The man an Evansville police officer shot and killed Saturday moments after responding to a domestic dispute was not armed with a gun but rather a novelty smoking pipe designed to replicate the look of a firearm, a police official said Monday.
