MANCHESTER, N.H. —
A new poll shows that New Hampshire could be poised for a highly competitive top-tier U.S. Senate race next year.
The latest poll from the Saint Anselm College Survey Center shows that even the Senate primary could be closer than some might have expected.
Two former U.S. senators are separated by single digits in the race for the Republican nomination for Senate. John E. Sununu has 39% support, Scott Brown has 30%, and 31% are unsure.
It's a solid lead for Sununu, but it also shows Brown could be competitive.

"This is going to be a race, and we're going to see what transpires between now and the filing period," said Neil Levesque, of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics.
