A Texas man accused of killing two people at a Shelby Township used-vehicle lot earlier this month has been referred for mental health evaluation, officials announced Monday.
Terrance Jermaine Sandles, 46, of Houston will be evaluated for competency to stand trial, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said in a press release. Sandles is accused of fatally shooting Marvan Batoo, 40, of Shelby Township and Ghaith Baban, 48, of Clinton Township after they refused to refund him for a vehicle he had purchased from their used car lot.
