MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Sunny Ellmore is a flourishing high school junior involved in theatre, choir and ballet, but it took years to get to this point.
The Maryville teen said when she was younger, she didn’t feel right and couldn’t stop counting everything she did, from breathing to walking.
“For me, it was dead truth that if I went to school, if I didn’t take an even number of steps, like my mom was going to die,” Sunny said.
Her mother, Amy Ellmore, said Sunny started acting differently in elementary school. Sunny went from an outgoing happy kid to a suddenly anxious one.
“Then came some food aversions, some auditory hallucinations, which created some sleeping issues,” Amy said. “And as a mom, that’s tough because you always just want to put yourself in their shoes and take it aw
