Despite a tough battle from host Holy Cross, Siena held firm and made some key buckets down the stretch in a 73-69 non-conference men's basketball game Monday night.

Holy Cross (1-6) tied it at 67 with 2:23 left, but Christian Jones' 3-pointer with 1:52 left let the Saints regain the lead. Later, Antonio Chandler's basket with 23 seconds left gave Siena (4-2) a 72-69 lead. Finally, Brendan Coyle sank one of two free throws with 4 seconds left for the win.
