SILSBEE, Texas — Silsbee police are investigating a rear-end crash that injured five people Monday evening after a pickup truck failed to control its speed and struck a Jeep Cherokee on Highway 327 W.est, according to a Silsbee Police Department news release.
Officers were sent around 5:14 p.m. to a crash in the 1800 block of Hwy. 327 W. A preliminary investigation found that a 2014 silver Jeep Cherokee was traveling west and preparing to turn left into a driveway when it was hit from behind by a 2013 silver Chevrolet pickup that was also traveling west.
"The driver failed to control speed and struck the Jeep Cherokee from behind," the release stated.
The occupants of the Jeep Cherokee, two adults and three juveniles, were taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. No additional details
