Celebrating Thanksgiving with a Caribbean twist in the Bronx.

Oxtail was the highlight of the massive holiday meal giveaway in Co-op City on Monday. This Thanksgiving giveaway event was hosted by City Councilman Kevin Riley outside the Einstein Loop Community Center.

Various other community groups took part. The event recognizes the large Caribbean heritage in the northeast Bronx.

Hundreds of people who were in need came out for the free meal, which included all the side fixings.

Riley says many in his district have been hurting after the lapse in food benefits during the recent government shutdown.
