PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Court documents released Monday reveal evidence police have against four suspects facing murder charges in connection with the shooting death of a teen boy in southeast Phoenix. It shows the case was not a random robbery.

When one of the suspects, 17-year-old Anthony Coleman, was booked into jail, police said he and three other people, 20-year-old Charles Stokes Jr., 17-year-old Jacari West, and 15-year-old Syncere Jack, were part of a robbery of teen boys who were playing a high school game called “Assassins” with water guns near 32nd Street and Roeser Road on Oct 2 around 7:30 p.m.

Arizona’s Family is naming the suspects because they are being charged as adults.

However, the court paperwork for Stokes said the two groups had met up for a marijuana deal. Police
