LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Louisville basketball got off to a slow start against Eastern Michigan, but once the Cardinals got into a rhythm, there was no looking back.

The Cardinals and Eagles were tied at 4-4 through the 15-minute mark of the first half, but things escalated quickly after that. Louisville would go on a 15-0 run over the next five minutes, making it 19-6. Before the half, Louisville added another 14 points, taking a 33-17 lead into the half.

Louisville took a 20-point lead three minutes into the second half and kept flying past the Eagles.

No. 6 Louisville went on to win 87-46.

Louisville shot 48% from the field and 42% from three, sinking 13 three-pointers. The Cardinals took advantage of EMU's 13 turnovers, scoring 20 points.
