A team of scientists say they have found a key warning sign that someone could die within the next five years. A blood test has also revealed it can predict your chances of survival over the next 10 years.
Researchers from the University of Surrey says raised levels of five proteins in the blood can predict the risk of mortality. They believe the proteins (PLAUR, SERPINA3, CRIM1, DDR1 and LTBP2), that play key roles in the development of diseases such as cancer and inflammation, may also contribute to the risk of dying.
