PALO ALTO COUNTY, Iowa (KTIV) - Authorities say a three-vehicle crash in Northwest Iowa resulted in a pedestrian being fatally injured and a passenger being sent to the hospital.

The Iowa State Patrol’s report shows the crash happened on Friday, Nov. 21, at around 5:20 p.m. The collision was in rural Palo Alto County, west of the 440th Street and 470th Avenue intersection, putting it between Emmetsburg and Mallard.

According to the ISP crash report, a Ram 1500 pickup was going east on 440th Street when it crashed into a parked vehicle, went off the road and rolled.

The pickup’s driver was identified as 19-year-old Austin Stokes of Mallard, Iowa. The crash report lists his injuries as “possible (complaint of pain/injury). The report states that Stokes went to a hospital but did not requi
