OMAHA, Neb. —
Outside Kmart, the parking lot was packed, and inside customers were scrambling just to find a shopping cart.
"Came out early and went home and cooked the turkey and ate. And I'm back," said one 2001 Black Friday shopper.
It might have been Thanksgiving Day, but most of the shoppers had something else on their minds.
"Christmas," said one shopper; "Santa Claus," said another.
