LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Lubbock Christian University volleyball is headed to the NCAA D2 Women’s Volleyball Tournament for the first time in program history, picking up the No. 6 seed in the South Central Region.

The Lady Chaps (25-7,15-2) head to Denver to take on the No. 3 seed Angelo State (24-7, 15-2).

Lubbock Christian fell to Angelo State in the LSC regular season in three sets, 3-0. The Lady Chaps met up with Angelo State again in the Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship game where LCU was the two seed and Angelo State was the one seed and fell in three sets 3-0 but kept it close with set one 25-19 Angelo State, set two 25-20 Angelo State, and set three 25-22 Angelo State.
