With less than a week left of the 2025 hurricane season, there has been speculation online about whether or not there could be a hurricane in December, since it does not appear there will be one in the month of November.
WESH 2 Meteorologist Eric Burris explains why people should not believe what they're seeing on the internet.

Burris said that according to the National Hurricane Center, there is nothing to track for the remainder of the season.
In the first two weeks of December, the American GFS model showed something that looked like it could be tropical.
However, there was no sign of anything tropical developing.
