NACHES, Wash. – The Naches Valley Library has secured a new contract, confirming its continued operation after concerns arose about its future last month.
The "Friends of the Naches Library Coalition" announced that both the Yakima Valley Library Trustees and the Town Council have approved the contract.
The council wanted assurance from the trustees that the library's current days and hours of operation would remain unchanged, which has been confirmed.
Currently, the coalition is holding its monthly meeting to discuss sponsorship for the Naches Sportsman's Days Association. They are also beginning to plan for Christmas Night in Naches and the town's Christmas tree.
