ELLENSBURG, Wash. — A doctor at the center of a KING 5 Investigation four years ago, which exposed she accepted payment for COVID-19 vaccine exemptions , is now behind bars.

Agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) arrested Anna Elperin in Ellensburg on Friday, Nov. 21. The agency declined to comment on the case, pending Elperin’s appearance in federal court on Monday.

In recent years, Elperin kept her medical license even though the KING 5 Investigators caught her unethical conduct on camera.

Awake Health was a small medical clinic in central Washington. Elperin, an o steopathic physician , was the clinic's only doctor.

In a federal indictment, just unsealed in federal court in eastern Washington, Elperin faces half a dozen charges including falsification of federal records,
