Macomb County's two largest cities have agreed to a deal leaders say will improve response to public works emergencies.
Officials in Warren and Sterling Heights said a new Interlocal Service Agreement creates rules and policies by which the adjacent cities can request personnel, equipment and resources from one another when local capacity is stretched. Both city councils have approved the agreement, which took effect immediately, according to a news release issued jointly by the cities this week.
