MCLEAN, Va. — With the holiday season in full swing, Fairfax County Police are stepping up patrols and encouraging residents to take steps to safeguard their homes.
"We're always looking for the suspicious person, a suspicious vehicle," said Captain Kent Bailey, the assistant commander of the McLean District Station.
He told WUSA9 Monday afternoon that officers are paying close attention to anything that appears out of place.
Bailey said patrols intensify this time of year. "Especially during the holidays, we're just, you know, increasing a little bit more," he explained.
FCPD took WUSA9 on patrol to show how police presence is expanding across the county.
