NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — We are in the final countdown to the Thanksgiving holiday, and while the turkeys are thawing and the vegetables are getting cut, some of the typical holiday food might be great for human consumption but not animal consumption.

Thanksgiving is usually a time for families to come together to celebrate, and pets are often included in those family meals

However, Dr. Katelyn Lang, a veterinarian and owner of Healthy Life Pet Clinic in North Little Rock, explained that not all foods are safe for our furry friends.

“Usually, the lower-end fat foods are going to be the safest. So, like turkey breast, unseasoned, no skin. Green beans, as long as they're not made with like bacon or anything high in fat, they can even just like normal cranberries around this time of year,
