The University of Alabama at Birmingham football player accused of stabbing two teammates inside a team facility before Saturday’s Senior Day loss has been charged with attempted murder.
Daniel Israel Mincey allegedly stabbed fellow teammates JaSire Peterson and Joshua Underwood with a knife just after 10 a.m. at the on-campus football operations building, AL.com reported, citing court records filed Monday.
The 20-year-old redshirt freshman was charged with attempted murder for the attack on Peterson and aggravated assault on Underwood, the outlet reported.
He was arrested hours after the attack.
Mincey is being held at the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham on a $90,000 bond, according to records viewed by The Post.
Officials did not reveal a motive behind Saturday’s stabbings.
