Manchester United suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Everton as their five-game unbeaten run came to an end on Monday night.

The Red Devils had the chance to move into fourth place in the Premier League table after seeing Liverpool, Tottenham, Bournemouth and Sunderland all fail to win over the weekend.

Ruben Amorim’s side were even handed an early boost at Old Trafford when Everton were reduced to ten-men in the 13th minut e.

However, despite a second half onslaught, the hosts were unable to find an equaliser after falling behind to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s strike just before the half hour mark .
