The Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) will offer an alternative to Black Friday shopping on Friday, Nov. 28, when it holds “Fresh Air Friday,” a day when Coloradans and out-of-state visitors can visit a Colorado state park for free.

Admission will be free at Boyd Lake State Park, 3720 N. County Road 11C, in Loveland, and Lory State Park, 708 Lodgepole Drive in Bellvue, as well as at other state parks.

Additionally there will be discounts on items at state park visitor centers and offices and online at cpwshop.com from Friday through Monday.

Find park events and hikes on the CPW events calendar at cpw.info/keepcoloradowild.

Candlelight Dinner Playhouse, 4747 Marketplace Drive, will present An Olde English Christmas with Herman’s Hermits, starring Peter Noone, Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 1-3.
