Wayne Rooney has told Arne Slop to axe Liverpool legend Mo Salah . Salah is facing the flak in the wake of his side's latest crushing defeat - a 3-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest .

The champions have now lost six of their last seven league games, to slump to 11th in the Premier League table. Salah failed to register a goal or assist in the defeat to Forest. The Egyptian superstar has failed to hit the heights of last season, which saw him voted 'player of the year' after topping both the scoring and assist charts.

But Rooney has accused Salah of not working hard enough to help his team.
