The 2025-26 IHSAA boys basketball tops off this week, so let's take a look at the top 16 players back from last year to watch from the Bloomington area as this season unfolds.
John Bargen, North, Sr. F
Missed all of his junior year at Dunlap (Ill.) with a knee injury. At 6-5, North's starting quarterback and son of IU assistant Mike gives Cougars an athletic big body to take up the spot Luke Lindeman occupied.
Jack Clark, South, Sr. G
Big sparkplug when the Panthers needed it, and an efficient scorer will certainly be a leader this time around. Averaged 12.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and had 25 steals. Shot an outstanding 56% from the field (109-193), hitting 52% of his 3s (29-55) and shot 90% at the line (86-95). Named IBCA Underclass all-state honorable mention.
