Police are hunting a "large black dog" after a teenager was bitten on the face in North Staffordshire.
The 17-year-old girl was attacked by the animal, which was loose in the area, in an alleyway near Forsbrook Recreation Ground, off Mount Road, at around 1.45pm on Monday. She went to hospital herself after the incident, which was reported to police at around 2pm.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We are appealing for information after a girl suffered bite injuries from a dog in Blythe Bridge. Officers were called shortly before 2pm today to Mount Road following reports of a dog loose in the area.
