WAUSAU – After living a few months in Central Wisconsin, I subconsciously stopped asking myself if a local team is going to state.

Instead, the question evolved to: Who’s next?

When I moved to Wisconsin from Phoenix, I knew I’d be at the forefront of some of the most promising young sports talent in the nation – a boatload of current and former pro talent made that a certainty.

There’s a true pro pipeline in Wisconsin that stretches from end-to-end in sports and geography, that I was mostly aware of.

But what I didn’t totally expect was to be reporting from the state tournament in nearly every sport – covering some of the more compact schools in the heart of Wisconsin – on the biggest stage.
