The weather is getting colder, and with that, for many, comes the stark realisation that the heating needs to be put on. But with prices through the roof and many unable to do this, people are turning to alternative ways to keep warm . As Martin Lewis says, it's more important to heat the human, and not the home.

So I decided to put the Money Saving Expert founder's advice to the test by trying out a heating blanket to see if it would actually keep me cosy. It's got seriously chilly recently, so I did have my doubts about just how effective the item would be. However, I was blown away by the results.
