Residents have roundly rejected plans to convert a family home into a six bedroomed HMO in Handsworth.

If approved, the property on Onibury Road would have five bedrooms with en-suites, one bedroom with a bathroom, a modern kitchen with high-specification appliances and improved soundproofing.

According to documents, it would be "high-quality, professionally managed accommodation for young professionals."

But local campaigner Keisha Hamilton said she had spoken to residents who voiced opposition.

"There are already two HMOs on the road I think and exempt housing.
