Scattered rain is headed to Massachusetts ahead of the holiday.
Tuesday is expected to have a dry start with rain in the late afternoon into the evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain could start as early as 5 p.m. but is more likely by 7 p.m. in Western and Central Massachusetts. It isn’t as likely to hit Boston or the Cape and Islands until closer to 8 p.m.

Rain could continue all day Wednesday into early Thursday.
Temperatures are expected to be higher than usual on Wednesday but a cold front is headed for Thanksgiving.
