( NewsNation ) — Ukraine has come to a “common understanding” on the “core terms” of a U.S.-brokered peace deal with Russia, its national security adviser announced Tuesday.

“We now count on the support of our European partners in our further steps,” Rustem Umerov said on social media.

Some details of the agreement are still being ironed out, a U.S. official confirmed to NewsNation.

Umerov added that Ukraine is “looking forward to organizing a visit” between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President Donald Trump at the “earliest suitable date in November.”
