Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could visit the US this week to finalise an agreement with Donald Trump to end the war with Russia .

The potential breakthrough comes after Moscow continued its merciless bombing in a raid that killed six.

Immediately after the blitz Mr Zelensky spoke to PM Sir Keir Starmer and said: “It was a good and very productive conversation.

“I thanked (him) for the condolences he expressed to the Ukrainian people. Last night, Russia launched another attack – at a time when Ukraine , together with America, Europe, and many others around the world, are working virtually around the clock to stop the bloodshed.
