(NewsNation) — Ukraine and the United States have agreed to a deal to end the four-year war with Russia, with some details still to be worked out, a U.S. official confirmed to NewsNation early Tuesday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will head to Washington, D.C., to finalize the agreement at the "earliest suitable date" this month, Ukrainian national security adviser Rustem Umerov announced.
"Our delegations reached a common understanding on the core terms of the agreement discussed in Geneva," Umerov said on social media.
