Toronto Police are probing a shooting that occurred early Tuesday in the city’s Entertainment District.

Officers were called to King St. W., west of Spadina Ave., around 4:45 a.m. and found a man in his 20s outside with gunshot wounds.

Police said “life-saving measures were performed” and the “victim was transported to hospital by emergency run.”

King is closed to traffic between Spadina and Brant St. as police investigate. There was no immediate word on any suspects.

Toronto Police say officers in their Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force began an “investigation into an individual believed to be in possession of a firearm.”

On Nov. 22, they executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Mount Pleasant Rd. and Broadway Ave. and allegedly seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun
