EXCLUSIVE: The Josh Safdie directed Marty Supreme will be get a 70MM release in New York City and Los Angeles on Dec. 18 ahead of its nationwide release on Christmas Day.

Additional 70MM engagements in select cities will also follow on Dec. 25 for the A24 theatrical release.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Darius Khondji, reunited with Safdie after Uncut Gems , and shot Marty Supreme on 35mm using Arriflex cameras and vintage anamorphic lenses. The pic’s presentation in 70mm transforms that 35mm imagery into a more immersive, larger-scale experience. The movie reps Josh Safdie’s first release in the format.
