Universality is a key decisionmaker for the marketing team at General Motors' top-selling vehicle brand Chevrolet when choosing inspiration for its “Holiday Card to America” advertisement, which is how the family road trip (in a 1987 Chevrolet Suburban) came to be the backdrop for this year's spot titled “Memory Lane.”
