Former WWE Tag Team Champions The Headbangers, consisting of Mosh and Thrasher, have officially announced their plans to retire from active in-ring competition. The duo revealed in a video posted to social media that their incredible 33-year run as a team will conclude next summer. The announcement was initially shared by Thrasher, whose real name is Glenn Ruth.

Thrasher emphasized the impressive longevity of their partnership in his opening remarks. “June of 2026 will be 33 years that we’ve been together,” Thrasher stated. The Hall of Famers then announced the date for their final match. “And with heavy hearts, we’re announcing that on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026… ISPW Legends of Wrestling Night… Wildwoods Convention Center, Wildwood, New Jersey, will be our last match,” Thrasher confirm
